LP VAN DER MERWE Inc currently provides physiotherapy home visits for patients in and around Randburg and surrounding areas.
Home visits are available for patients who are unable, or find it particularly difficult, to attend a physiotherapist’s rooms. They may be particularly suitable for patients with significant mobility limitations, including those who are bedridden, wheelchair users, or whose condition makes travelling to an outpatient practice difficult or physically demanding.
Each request for a home visit is assessed individually to determine whether home-based physiotherapy is appropriate and whether the required treatment can be safely provided in the patient’s home. The home environment must also be suitable and safe for both the patient and physiotherapist.
Home visits may also be requested by patients who are able to attend a practice but prefer to receive treatment at home. Home visits are a private service and may attract additional costs, depending on the circumstances and the patient's medical aid benefits.
